National School Choice Week (NCSW), is held from January 20-26, and offers an exciting opportunity for students, parents and teachers to celebrate what makes their schools great!
NSCW raises public awareness of the different types of public education available, including charter schools. Starting in 2011, NCSW is now the world's largest celebration of opportunity in education.
We take this time every year to encourage parents to find a high-quality charter public school near you. During NSCW, parents can also learn about and search for other public school options that offer the best learning environment that meets their kids’ needs.
Here are 3 fun ways to get involved:
- Create your own “I’m Celebrating School Choice Week” Placard.
- Download these NSCW-themed desktop and phone backgrounds.
- Learn the National School Choice Week Dance!
Or, you can host an event! Sign up for free NSCW supplies that you can use to let other parents know about the K-12 education options available in your community. Take time to celebrate an effective teacher or administrator at your child’s school. Or have your voice heard in efforts to expand school choice for more families!
NSCW is a nonpartisan, nonpolitical, independent public awareness effort and is not associated with any legislative lobbying or advocacy.
