The voice of California’s charter school movement

The 2019 Hart Vision Award winner was so special that they got their very own category!

By California Charter Schools Association

Announced during the 26th Annual California Charter Schools Conference, the “Authorizer of the Year” award went to the Butte County Office of Education. The BCOE provided tireless, around-the-clock, hands on support to six Paradise charter public schools that were displaced or destroyed by the Camp Fire.

The Hart Vision Awards are given annually to individuals and organizations with outstanding records of leadership and excellence in public education. The awards were established in 1995 in honor of Gary K. Hart, retired California State Senator, former California Secretary of Education and author of California’s landmark charter public school legislation.
