Dishonest rhetoric. Promoting conspiracy theories. Attacking public school students, parents and teachers. The California Teachers Association has a long and shameless track record when it comes to the discussion around charter public schools and their role in our education system.  

Now we can add blatant hypocrisy to that record. Take a look at this recent tweet: 

Think about that. Right now, the union’s leadership is teaming up with Sacramento politicians, like Assemblymen Kevin McCarty and Rob Bonta, to promote an extreme and poisonous package of bills that would rip options and opportunity away from parents and kids who need them most. 

Here’s something to remember as these bills make their way through the legislature: #DontGetPlayedByCTA! They are not interested in a good-faith effort to find ways to meet the needs of every kid, only in advancing an agenda that puts politics first.
